Introduction
The hill resort of Renuka is also known as Renuka
ji. At an altitude of 672 m above sea level Renuka is a sacred
place that attracts tourists and pilgrims alike in Himachal
Pradesh.
Sight Seeing
The Renuka Lake is a major landmark in the hill
resort of Renuka. The Renuka ji Lake boasts of being the largest
natural lake in Himachal Pradesh and is dedicated to Goddess
Renuka. Close by is another lake of Parshuram, goddess Renuka's
son. You may enjoy boating at the Renuka Lake. Close by is a
temple dedicated to the goddess Renuka.
The Lake is the venue of the annual Renuka Fair that takes place
in the month of November. As a part of the celebrations there are
competitions and recreational activities taxingly places on the
banks of the Renuka Lake.
You may reach the Jamu Peak to enjoy the wondrous vistas of the
Renukaji and the enchanting environs.
The animal lovers must visit the Lion Safari of Renuka to take a
close shot of the king but only with the camera. In order to spot
the Asiatic lions, spotted deer, lion tailed macaques, barking
deer Himalayan black bears et al you may visit the Mini zoo of
Renuka.

Excursion
60 km from Renuka is the historic gurudwara of
Poanta Sahib on the banks of the river Yamuna. The tenth Sikh
guru, guru Gobind Singh lived here for four and a halfyrs & also
fought his first battle at nearby Bhangani.
Weather
Renuka is an ideal hill resort that experience
pleasant weather in the summer months. Though in the winter months
the temperatures drop drastically.

Air
The airports at Chandigarh and Dehradun cater to the air
transport to Renuka. The former is at a distance of 95 km whereas
the later is 126 km away. Then there is the airport at Gaggal near
Dharamshala too.
By Rail
The railheads at Pathankot, Ambala, Dehradun, and Chandigarh
cater to the rail transport to Renuka
By Road
The excellent road network links Renukaji with most of the important
places through buses and taxis. The State road transport services of
the Punjab Roadways & Himachal Roadways may be used to commute to
and from Renuka.

There are ample accommodation options available in
Renuka. There are the deluxe hotels, standard hotels as well as
the economy hotels to cater to the accommodation needs of the
tourists to Renuka. Other options like the resorts and forest rest
