Who makes legislations in India? |
|||||||||||||||||
|
Legislations are made by the Parliament (Central legislature) and State legislatures. A draft of the proposed legislation, called a ‘bill', is introduced in the legislature either by the government or by a member(MP/MLA). If the Bill is passed by a majority, it is sent to the President/Governor for his/her assent. Then it becomes law. |
