Synopsis
Time and again, Naseeruddin Shah has proved his versatility as an actor.
One of his forthcoming films Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao has him playing a comic role (albeit with shades of grey) opposite Rekha,
with a sub-cast of Arshad Warsi, Suman Ranganathan and Mukul Dev. The film, a usual Bollywood potboiler directed by Harry Baweja has
Naseer playing the male lead.
Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao is what Naseer seems to be saying about his wife (played by Rekha) throughout the film.
In the film Naseer plays a shrewd character Anand Mathur who marries a rich girl Kamini (Rekha), wooed by the swelling fortunes of her
tycoon father. But when Kamini’s multi millionaire father dies and his will is read Anand realizes that all he has got from
father-in-law is aashirwad but not a single penny. This infuriates Anand and he gives in to cheap trickery.
He embezzles money from Kamini’s office without her knowledge. There is also a twist to the story. Anand has fallen head over heels in
love with the young temptress Anuradha (Suman Ranganathan) and must get money from somewhere to foot in her heavy bills. To this end
he convinces Rocky (Arshad Warsi) a simple employee in Kamini’s office to part with his life’s savings and later on when Rocky comes
asking for his money Anand not only refuses but also sacks him.
Angry by this treatment meeted out to him Rocky looses his patience and abducts Kamini. In ransom he demands Anand to pay back his
dues or he will kill his wife. Seeing it as a good opportunity to get rid of his wife he refuses to give in to Rocky’s demands.
But Rocky is not a professional killer. When he is lost wondering what to do next, Anand throws his trump card. He offers Rocky double
the amount for killing his wife. Will Rocky comply, or will he find some other way out of the difficult situation he has got himself
into?
