Corn Cones
A savory cone stuffed with fresh corn.
Ingredients
5 cups corn
1 chopped onion
2 green chilies, finely
chopped
1 tsp. Coriander leaves finely
chopped
Salt & red chilies according
to taste
2 tsp. Of Oil for cooking
For the cones:
2 cups flour
4 tbs. hot ghee (clarified
butter) or oil
Salt according to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method
1.For the filling heat
the oil in a pan and cook the onion & green chilies utill tender.
2.Add to it boiled corn & spices. Garnish with coriander leaves.
3.Keep it aside.
4.Mix all the cone ingredients and bind to a soft dough adding
enough water.
5.Divide it into equal portions.
6.Roll each portion into a thin roti. Cut each into half.
7.Wrap the half roti around a metal cone, covering three-fourths of
the cone. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
8.Fry the cones in hot oil until brown.
9.Remove from oil and gently remove the dough cone from the metal
cone. Put the dough cone back into the oil and fry till golden brown and
crisp from inside also.
10.To serve, fill with the basic corn filling and serve hot.
