Phudina Pattis
Fried Mint pattis.
Ingredients
For Phudina
(Mint) Patties:
1 1/2 cup All
purpose flour (Maida)
1/2 cup
maida(all purpose flour) paste
1/2 tsp.
baking Powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. Oil
For Stuffing:
2 cups Pudina
(Mint) leaves
1 cup
Coriander leaves
6-7 Green
chilies
1 tsp. Ginger
1 tsp. Cumin
seeds
11/2 tsp.
Salt
1 tsp. Sugar
1 Lemon
Bread Crumbs
to apply on pattis
Serve with
Serve hot
with tomato sauce.
Method
1.First
sieve the maida (all purpose flour, plain flour) flour and add the salt,
baking powder and oil into it. Mix well.
2.Prepare the dough with cold water. Leave it for about half an
hour. Then roll into small puris and keep it aside.
3.Bring water to boil and add 1 tbsp. oil to it.
4.Add puri to it and when it comes on the top take it from the
water.
5.Make the chutney out of the stuffing ingredients and apply this
chutney on every puri and roll the puri. Cover the edge with maida (all
purpose flour, plain flour) paste.
6.Cut patties from the middle and roll this patties in bread
crumbs.
7.Heat oil in frying pan and deep fry patties till golden brown.
