Paneer Makhani
Paneer pieces cooked in tomato puree and fresh
cream
Ingredients
1/2 LB Or 250 GMS of cubed
paneer
1 1/2 cup chopped Tomatoes
1 tsp. of chopped Ginger
1 sprig of Bay leaf
1 tsp. Cardamom powder
1/2 tsp. Chili powder
1 tsp. Kastoori (dried
fenugreek leaves) Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
1 tsp. Sugar
4 tbsp.. fresh Cream
1/2 tsp. Garam masala
3 tbsp. Oil
Salt according to taste
Garnish with :
1 tbsp.. beaten fresh Cream
A handful of Coriander leaves
Serve with
Naan OR Kulcha
Method
1. Heat oil, add the
tomatoes, ginger, bay leaf, cardamom, dried fenugreek leaves and chili
powder. Cook covered till the tomatoes turn soft.
2. Cool and grind this above paste to a puree and then pass through
a sieve.
3. Keep the paste on the fire, then add the salt, garam masala and
cook. Add the cream and remove from the fire.
4. Just before serving add the paneer pieces and garnish with
beaten cream and coriander leaves.
