Chilly Summers

chilly summers, poem chilly summers, chilly summers poem, poetry chilly summers, chilly summers poetry

The skies are falling,
the clouds are sinking.
Numbness fills the moist air,
unfelt, unknown.
Butterflies roam
the morning fields, blinking.
Flowers bloom bright,
the tall green grasses grown.

Silence creeps,
unbearable, deafening.
Where have the soothing,
gentle voices gone?
Cold winds, cold words,
coldness brings lightening.
Shivers chill my carcass,
from dusk till dawn.

Night falls
like an undesirable guest.
Darkness follows
the morbid company,
Cold, bitter, aloof,
the visitor's quest,
Fighting off warmth,
a battle of gluttony.

Knight and shining armor,
my darling Sun,
Rescue me from this hell,
let the gloom run!
